The 15 of march of 1962, Quino gives life to Mafalda, a little girl who makes her first appareance the 29 of september in 1964 in the magazine "Primera Plana".
Mafalda is a six years old girl who carries about the human kind and the world peace. She lives in a middle class neigborhood in Argentina at 60's with her parents, with Guille her little brother and her turtle Burocracia. She passes her days with her friends: The shy Felipe, the capitalist Manolito, the inocent Miguelito, the gossip Susana and the little Libertad. She loves The Beatles, the "Crazy Bird" and she hates the soup.
The critics and the doubs are the portrates of the problems that round us day by day put in a girl's mouth.
Mafalda is very popular in Latinoamérica, Spain, Italy, Hellas and France. She has been translated in more of 30 languajes.
